Onyi Okeke, MD

Dr. Onyi Okeke is a Yale-trained, triple board-certified psychiatrist in child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and consultation-liaison psychiatry. She brings over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families through compassionate, evidence-based care.
She completed a clinical research fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health, followed by fellowship training in consultation-liaison and child psychiatry at Yale. Dr. Okeke has provided care in schools, hospitals, and early psychosis programs, including the Yale PRIME Clinic in New Haven, where she previously served through 2024.
In 2021, she received the Young Physician Leadership Award for her commitment to clinical excellence and health equity. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and written op-eds focused on social justice, mental health access, and educational equity.
Now based in Katy, Texas, Dr. Okeke co-founded Muna Psychiatry Group to provide families with care that is both high-quality and accessible. Her approach is grounded in medical expertise,  and a deep respect for each family’s unique needs and values. She offers outpatient psychiatric services that support key life stages, including early childhood, adolescence, and the perinatal period.
Her mission is to help families thrive where they learn, work, play, and pray.
