Supporting a child with emotional, behavioral, or attention challenges can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re unsure how to help in the moment. Parent coaching provides practical, psychiatrist-guided support to help caregivers better understand their child and respond with confidence.

At Muna Psychiatry Group, parent coaching is led by a Yale-trained, double board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and focuses on real-world strategies for concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, mood changes, and behavioral challenges.

Parent Coaching

Parent Coaching Visit (30 minutes)

A focused visit to review your child’s emotional or behavioral needs and discuss actionable strategies you can use right away. This may include guidance for ADHD, emotional regulation, school concerns, or parenting during transitions. Only available after a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.

New to Medication Visit (30 minutes)

An educational visit for parents whose child is starting psychiatric medication. We review how medications work, what to expect, potential side effects, and how medication fits into a broader treatment plan.
